The following is a recap of the final few weeks of this years Biggest Loser event. Week 8 had each team go through a team personal training session. This was done to get the participants back on track for the final few weeks and to shock the muscles by doing a new exercise routine.Though these sessions were tough, each team got through it by supporting each other as they pushed their bodies to the limit. The final weekly contest was most miles completed on the bikes at the facility. Final Countdown took home the prize by completing 203 miles.
In week 9, the final lecture of the program was presented. It focused on emotional eating and negative thoughts. They tie into one another and are often the cause of someone quitting a weight loss program.
In week 10, the group had the opportunity to run or walk a 5K (3.1 miles) as another alternative to their normal exercise routine. As the weather gets warmer, people migrate to the outdoors. You can still find many ways to stay active if you decrease your gym visits during the summer.
The final two weeks had the participants on their own to put into place everything they had learned in the first 10 weeks of the program. After the final weigh-ins were completed, 262 total pounds were lost. Team Final Countdown won this years event. They led from week one and never looked back. They lost 81.6 pounds which is 19.73% of their initial body weight at the beginning of the contest. Dream Girlz came in second followed by Daily Flab to Fab.
