six weeks has passed us by since we last got together. The challenge was issued and few accepted the challenge. Della edged out Sean by a 6.69% to 4.21% to win the challenge and claim an additional 200 fit reward points.
After 12 grueling weeks, the fifth year of the biggest loser is in the books. This group of 13 individual lost a combined 285 pounds. Though the contest is over, this is in reality just the start in the fight to remain healthy. Before I give the final standings, I issue a six week challenge!! Yeah that is correct. I will continue to keep the weigh in sheets in the office for weekly weigh-ins. The challenge will be on an individual level. The person who loses the biggest % of weight from their final weigh in weight will be awarded an extra 200 fit reward points.
Final Standings:
1. Black: 351.4 points (Each was rewarded with 2500 fit reward points)
2. Purple: 282.1 points (Each was rewarded with 1250 fit reward points)
3. Pink: 265.5 points

All participants on teams 3 through 5 were rewarded with 250 fit reward points for their time and effort
As we head into the final week, hope everyone had a great Easter and was able to do some outdoor activity with the beautiful weather. No rankings this week as I am getting all the numbers churned out for the final release. I do want to congratulate AI from team pink for winning her second week of biggest % of weight loss. I have almost all of the checklist for the week handed in, if you still have yours, please give to me as soon as possible.
For the upcoming week, you have a final weigh in this friday or saturday. The final party will be held on Friday April 16th @ 6:00 pm @ precision fitness. You and your family are encouraged to attend. Also please take advantage of give aways this month as we celebrate 5 years of service to the community of somerset.
Great job to everyone on the 5K, all participants showed up and did the distance. It was truly an empowering time as many of you surprised yourself on how well you did. It shows if you put your mind to it, there is nothing that you can not accomplish. I have been in touch with some of you for the scheduling on the team personal training session. I will try to accomodate you with the times the best to my ability. I am looking to do them this week or next week. Many will be scheduled with our new trainer Tim Caldwell, don’t worry I will tell him to work you extra hard!! Just a few tidbits, now over 250 total pounds lost by YOU. MPB from team purple got her second biggest % weight loss. DR from team pink did the 5K in the fastest time at 29 minutes and 44 seconds.

Here is game plan for the 5K, I have set aside the following times and days that it will be done. You have the option of one of the three time slots. Please try and let me know what slot you will be using. I have put the saturday morning slot as an outdoor 5K for those who would prefer that in place of the treadmill.
Thursday March 25: 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm (indoor on treadmill)
Friday March 26: 9:30 am - 11:00 am (indoor on treadmill)
Saturday March 27: 10:00 am - 11:30 am (outdoor)
Week nine had contest of most miles on any piece of equipment, team black won with 241.8 miles follow by purple with 103 and then aqua in third. KM of team black won for the biggest % weight loss ( her third individual weekly title).

200 pound mark is history, Yeah!!! To date, 207 pounds has been lost. Great job keep it going. This week is a lecture week, the last time you get to listen to me ramble on!! Thursday will be at 7:00 pm as normal, the Saturday will start a little earlier, 12:00 noon. I will keep you posted on next weeks event as it was a time to be determined listing on your calendar. Doing it outside or on a treadmill will be based on weather. I can tell you this much, it will not be 7:00 on Thursday since if we are outside it would be getting close to being dark at that time. Congrats to team black for stepping their hearts away this week, aqua was the second place finisher. JL from team Navy became the second repeat big weight loser for the week.
